Dear Parents and Guardians,

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the Richmond Heights Elementary website. Welcome back to another exciting year at Richmond Heights Elementary! I am filled with joy about our accomplishments in 2007-2008. We are proud to be recognized by the State of Florida as a "B" rated school in Orange County. Due to the hard work and dedication of our students and staff, our school was only 8 points from an "A", classifying Richmond Heights as a school of distinction. With the tremendous academic gains demonstrated by our student body, we have made history! Our entire faculty and staff are committed to providing every child with a positive learning experience.

As educational professionals we recognize that each student is an individual and will progress towards desired goals at an individual pace. Therefore we strive to meet the learning needs of each and every student at Richmond Heights on an individual basis. A strong emphasis is placed on academic development in the core curriculum of reading, mathematics, writing, science, and social studies, as well social and moral development in building a strong character and self esteem. We value the partnership of parents and community members as we continue to "bridge the gap from good to great, as we aim for an A." A strong school, with the support of the community, produces an optimum learning environment.

As always I am grateful and proud to serve as the instructional leader of this fine educational institution. As a community we will motivate our students to be lifelong learners, grow intellectually, and become productive citizens. Together we will be a community of proud parents, accomplished educators, and successful students. I pledge to you that Richmond Heights will thrive to be the premier school where our children can Imagine It, Believe It, and Achieve It!

I am looking forward to Building the Gap from Good to Great, as we Aim for an A.
